This is a Tippmann SL-68II. I got the idea from Doc Nickel's website, DocsMachine.com. It has been stripped of powder coat with a wire-wheel to the raw aluminum. I then removed the ASA from the grip, and sealed the original air passage. The valve area is tapped 1/8npt with nickel plated 90* elbows. The steel hard line is from PPS, running into a modified Automag verticle adapter. It is fully functional ,but here's the thing: it's not done yet. After I'm through, it will wow you all!

Nope, I haven't owned a Sydarm. They look like they would be really fun to play with. All that I own is on that link near the bottom of the original post. Thanks for the compliment by the way Edited by Layman |

Good start on the project. What do you expect to do to it after this step?

The SL series is a cast aluminum, and has a texture similar to styrofoam. It isn't feasible to smooth it out, plus having it polished would make it look really dirty or tarnished very quickly. |
