I put food in one of my pods.  Its nice to have a little snack in between games without going to the main part.
Cockers are like stick shifts, after a few transmissions you get the hang of them.

i never used my pods for food but they work great as a waterproof cell phone case.

Just make sure you dont put it in your harness and toss it in your hopper on accident.

I use mine to put my travel junk in. Shaving cream, razor, toothbrush.

then i put water in it to wash my mouth out.
