Tippmann Pro/Carbine

Hey sup yall im lookin 4 a new gun i play a lot of woods ball but i use a spyder 2 play the other day though i used my friends tippy and loved it! I'm thinking bout gettin me a pro carbine is that a good choice? Thanxs bye

Well its great to hear that you loved a tippy. Now on the procarbine. It is built extremely tough. It is very resiliant and will not let you down. It is a great gun for woods ball. The a-5 is a different ball park though. It can be just as deadly as the Procarbine, even more so but is heavier. The procarbine is light and very durable.

My set-up is a good start... maybe add an R/T... Pro-Carb is a great marker... but not exactly state of the art... I'd buy a 98c before I'd buy the PC...

Ok I'm sick of people saying ,"NO!!! GET THE GOOD GUN!!! THE A-5!!" Well some people perfer the A-5, but some like the more "woodsy" marker. Don't get me wrong, the A-5 is a great gun, but some people don't want to pay more for a marker that's about just as good. I have personally never shot the P/C, so I don't know if it is way better than the A-5 or not, but I do own a 98c and know that it is just as good as the A-5. That's just my opinion. If you shot the P/C and liked it, go for it. I play woodsball and own the 98c, and I love it! It shoots straight, and just because the A-5 may be a little faster, doesn't mean a thing in woodsball. You don't shoot as much in woodsball as in speedball. You need more accuracy in woodsball. The 98c and more than likely the P/C are great markers. Tippmann has a great line of markers and they are all at a reasonable rate. Try the 98c and the P/C and see what one you like more. You will be able to tell by how the marker "fits" you. They're different with the front grip on the 98c and the forearm on the P/C. Good luck and safe paintballing.

Edit: The P/C also has a heavy trigger pull. You can decrease it by replacing the sear spring with a clicky pen spring. This will make the pull of your trigger a lot lighter. You can cut the spring down to size to fit the gun fairly loosely. You don't want it too lose though, because then it will shoot fully automatic. This is not good. You also don't want it too tight, because then it will have a harder trigger pull.

And yes the procarbine is excellent and just as good but better than the rest, it is built to hold up and is idiotproof.

	I would go with the A-5. I have both a pro carbine and an A-5 and the A-5 is much much better. (Although I love my pro carbine) Plus you can upgrade just about anything on it.

	Test out the A-5 and 98C. Then save for which ever one you like more.

	I would say if you liked it, there's really no need to ask us. I own the ProCarbine, a M98C, and an A5RT, and the ProCarbine definitely has its place. Mainly for people who don't care about high rates-of-fire, like a light gun, prefer the rifle feel, and just want a gun that works and won't give them hassles. I would definitely look into a M98C and see if you like that, seeing as how it's actually cheaper than the ProCarbine but is easier to grow with.
