best barrel for accuracy

For the a-5 what is the best barrel for accuracy i have the flatline but i think i would prefear accuracy. I have heard smart parts is a good brand or is something better. And what are the prices??

Buy better paint and stick with what you have. There is no better barrel for an A5 or 98c... A lot of other brand markers wish they could use the flatty.

I'm not the author, but I know that the reason I sold my A5 Flatline was because I decided the increased range and flatter trajectory were not worth the decrease in accuracy.....even all it's quirks aside, it just wasn't accurate enough for me.

The best barrel for accuracy is one that is clean and has a smooth low friction bore surface. After that it's all breath and trigger control.

I agree fully with zesty, the flatlines accuracy looks like a cone. The tip is where you shot and the end is the 200ft range, it is a very wide cone and it is unpredictable. From my experience witht the flatline it is only accurate up to 50ft or so then in its outer range its accuracy depleats rapidly. If you are looking for an accurate barrel there are plenty of options. Personally I love my lapco bigshot (7.5"). It is dead on accurate. Those of you who think that a longer barrel adds loads of accuracy are wrong. Check out my sig, Says J and J 16" and Lapco bigshot 7.5" my bigshot still matches the accuracy of the J and J and the J and J is twice as long.

Barrel kits have mixed reviews from me. I would personally love to have a freak kit. You can buy one freak kit then buy backs for your other markers and use the kit on them. But I wonder if i would put the largest insert in and just forget about matching paint to insert.

ALL AMERICANS are great too. If you are looking for a really accurate barrel and are willing to shell out somebucks, look into the boomstick or an ultralight.
