Well i have a A-5 and i use it for woods-ball but i was also planning on using it for speedball. just wanted to know if it was a good idea to use the A-5 for speedball and what parts/upgrades/barrels should i get for it? I would appreciate ur opinions and knowledge on what u guys think about me using the A-5 for speedball.(I have the freak barrel coming soon unless theres anything better out there i can buy let me know.) Thanks.

getting a more speedball oriented gun is cheaper then getting those upgrades. Plus imo a-5 is too heavy for speedball and after some games the weight starts to get to ya and you can't shoot steady.

I look at it this way: the Tippmann guns are your personal proving
grounds. You can go so far in either direction (woods/sim or
speed) that you really discover what you like. For the A5, since
you have the freak coming, sell the RT and get an e-grip (they are
tourney legal). Though you might find guns that can shoot faster
the cap in many tournements is 15 bps which the A5 maxes out at with
the cyclone feed. While you can make a 98c go faster with a WAS
board and a halo, you might not always be able to use it. HPA is
a neccesity at those speeds.
