You need to drill and tap the power tube for the RT tubing nipple. To do it safely you need to get the valve out. To get the valve out, you have to unscrew the primary hose. If you have an Xchamber that screws directly into the valve then you will need to take it off to get the valve out. If you have a vert adapter, then take it off.
Do you get the idea? Whatever is screwed in the valve will have to come off the get the valve out of the power tube. Good Luck. |

There is no drilling and tapping involved with the RT installation. Maybe with older RTs, but the RT kit comes with a new threaded powertube. So what you have to do is unscrew your vertical adapter from your valve, remove the valve from the powertube, put it in the new threaded PT, and put the vertical adapter back on. |

Shouldnt be too hard. Its easiest to put the PT in a padded vise and use a wrench to unscrew the VA. Just give it some good old fashioned tourqe.

Well that's no good, what's the fun of an upgrade if you don't get to use power tools.
