i have the a5 and when i shoot sometimes the gun shoots a two ball burst, but only one ball comes out...other times it shoots excellent. is this a rt problem or with the feeder. it doestnt chop the other ball its just shooting out co2. doesnt do it all the time so i am confused.. i have the rt screw right where i want it and i haven't messed with it at all so i dont know why my gun is shooting spuratically

Try cleaning it, all of it, very well. Use lube too.

feeding prob. i noticed in a stock hopper when one ball shoots the one on top bounces up high so if ur shooting fast then it will misfire one. get a 12v revvy, that should do the trick

im not sure on the revy, i like the cyclone feeder, but i keep my gun clean. cyclone doesnt have a spec of dirt in it. i oiled it, but it still misfires. it makes sense that it shoots blanks due to the feeder skipping a ball, but why the 2 ball burst every now and then. if i hold the trigger in the sweet spot it doesnt misfire, seems like only when i try to shoot just one ball. any other ideas, i have a complet o ring set being shipped as i speak, but i don't know what else it could be. sorry for the long post

my did that when the sear was going out. Also check to make sure your cyclone is updated. other than that call Tippmann and ask for a free replacement.

sorry, but whats the sear and what does it do. can i replace it? and how do i go about making sure the feeder is 'updated'? Ive tried contacting tippmann because i need a new seal on my RT piston, but i just keep getting the runaround. i bought my gun privately so is there anything i can do about getting free replacement parts? Im beginning to think i should have just spent the xtra bucks and bought it through a PB dealer.

Just dont tell them where you bought it. Everything I've complained about I've gotten free from them. The sear is inside of the trigger ass. and is what releases the bolt. Sometimes if its worn or wearing out it will let the marker double fire but only shoot one paintball. Back when my marker was shooting super fast I was going thru them like paint and air. Finally hand one built for me and haven't had a problem since. Then again I dont shoot super fast anymore either. Theres no point. Look on the bottom of the cyclone and find a little capitol A. If its not there then call Tippmann and tell them. They WILL send you a replacement.
