ok im gettin an Ion adn it needs air but i have no idea what tank. i
was looking at the crossfire 68/45 (online) but my friend said that its
was kinda big for it. how big is the 68/45 compared to a 20oz co2?
EDIT: ok i found that it gets 1000 to 1200 shots off a 68/45, whats the smallest i can go (under crossfire brand) and get like 800? Edited by FireboM |

You are going to be limited if you need 800 shots. If you are a maniac speedballer and close to a fill look at a 45/4500-675 shots, or a 72/4500 stubby/peanut which is really fat but short. Most people just adjust thier drop and asa to get a 68/4500 where they want it.

68/45 is the best, but if you want smaller, go for a carbon fiber wrapped 45/45. It is lighter than the steel tanks.

ok if i can get 1000 shots off a 68/45 then how many will i get off a 45/45? basically i want a small tank that gives lots of shots per fill.i dont really want a tank thats bigger than my gun (Ions are hella small if you dont know) EDIT: ok i just found that i can get about 1100 shots off the 45/45. can someone compare it in weight(the fiber one, not steel) and size to a 20oz co2? EDIT #2:ok i just found specs on a 45/45 and i think ill go with that. Edited by FireboM |

I think the 68/4500 is a perfect size. It is a little bulky with a cover on it but it makes a great stock. If you are getting a little gun like the ion, you may want to get a stubby or a 47/4500. Keep in mind that you will be wasting your money if you get a tank that is too small and will not get you through a few games.

a 45/45 gives me 1100 shots per fill, 100 shots less but slightly smaller. btw driver, how long is your 68/45?

Wow! 1100 off a 45/45 that's really good. That sounds too good. I didn't mean to confuse you earlier. I meant you would be limited in the size tank you could get because according to the info I have a 45/45 will only give approx. 675 shots per tank, and you wanted at least 800. ASA= Air Soure Adapter= Where tank screws in. Edited by Liquid3 |

hmm.. thats a big difference. 675 to 1100. i could be off but i got the info off a pro review, and since everyone says its very efficient, adn that it can get over 1200 of the 68/45. 1100 seems pretty accurate. wow delemas, delemas(sp?). looks liek im gonna have to look at the shop for what will go best with it. stubbys cost the same as regular tanks dont they? there not extra or somethign? EDIT: just thought of this. it runs at 180-200 psi and most people say to get a hp tank so the gun isnt starved for air, but the crossfire lp tanks are 450 psi. so if i got a lp would it starve it? im at like 90% sure that it wouldnt because of the 250 psi difference, could there be any possibility of the lp tank starving it at 180 psi? There is a 23ci difference between 68ci and 45ci . There has to be a bigger shot diff. than 100 shots. Check out www.zdspb.com under tech articles and shots per tank(bottom of page). YDNA is an expert on Smart Parts stuff and isn't wrong often. When they make a claim on something I always want the math (they maybe pushing one of their sponsors products and stretching the truth a bit). Like that would ever happen... LOL. A low press. tank should be fine. What helps starve a gun is a reg. that can't keep up with the demand. Crossfire has one of the best regs out there at preventing shot dropoff. High press. does, as you say, also help increase your flow (somebody back me up on this one). You could also get a high press. tank and let the secondary reg bring it down to op. press. Your choice. I always run a high press. tank because that gives me more options on what gun I can run it on. ***EDIT*** I'm off on the shots per tank. I looked at an addendum to the chart and SFT Shockers w/ the HE bolt get 140% of 675 shots per 45/4500 tank. I own a Nerve and I get about that pecent on a 68/4500. Ions are pretty efficient so we are looking at something above 945 shots per 45/4500 tank, if my math is correct. I'll put my brain back in my head and have someone knock me around a bit for you. Sorry. Edited by Liquid3 |

ok thanx Liquid3. what guns (besides Tippys) run on high pressure?cuz
my friends have tippys and i think it would be hilarious for one of
them to take my tank while im gone getting something adn try and play
with a tank thats 400psi to low for their gun.(we do this all the time
as were poor adn cant afford the $4 fill charge, well we can, but were
just to lazy to go get them filled

Most entry and mid level guns that don't have a secondary reg. on the gun are high pess. guns. Check gun specs. online if in doubt.
