Hey guys. Anyway, my hard drive has become quite cluttered, and I really feel like taking everything off it and starting over. After consulting my friends, I could get no clear answers. I have never done this before, so I wanted to know what's the best way to go about re-formatting your hard drive. I have a Dell Latitude CPi laptop and windows 2000. Any advice would be appreciated.

Backup what ever you need. Throw in your OSes install cd and reinstall. Can't get much more straight forward.

Don't blame me, I voted for Kodos.

I had to do that this past weekend. Was not fun because I didnt expect to do it. Something weird happened and corrupted 53GB worth of my stuff. I had just about beat HL2 too.

Ok, I did this and it created a new partition. The question now is..how do I delete the old partition with all the old stuff on it that I wanted to get rid of? Meh.

Meh..Tried that. Some message pops up saying close out all windows displaying contents of the drive, so I close out all the windows and try again and it still won't effin work.

Restart your pc with the install cd in. it should bring you to a blue screen and you can eventually delete partitions.
