Just wondering if the flatline is accurate at distances.  people keep arguing in other threads that it is accurate at long distances, and some say it wasn't designed for accuracy and the only good thing is that it makes the ball go farther.

More importantly most paintballers aren’t accurate at a distance and the game doesn't often give you an opportunity at a distance. This may not always be true because different terrain and players may work well with the Flatline.

On my model 98 I could shoot my Flatline and be missing horribly out at the extra distance while having all the conditions correct. Then closer up I had this too long barrel that was only as accurate as the stock barrel.

I prefer my nice smooth straight barrel on my A-5. I can arc my shots up and still hit very well out at a distance and I get more hits with it then I did with the Flatline. Say it takes only 5 inches to stabilize a paintball for accurate flight. Hooray you have a 14 inch Flatline; but take the shroud off and look at were the barrel straightens after the curve – all but the last few inches are devoted to producing the backspin.

I know if I put a clone of myself against me and gave the clone my Flatline gun I would win at a distance. I know from playing that at a reasonably long distance against a Flatline if we both only peek out our muzzle and an eye, you will not be able to hit me with the Flatline in the two seconds it will take me to rain down paint on you. Any closer then that and the Flatline quickly losses its advantage and becomes a big target.

Think and give them all you have from the beginning, and never weaken!

It's pretty accurate but just adds distance.

Stop creating so many accuracy threads. Just put all of your stuff into 1 thread.

If you use the right size paint then the flatline can be pretty accurate.

well thats the same with any barrel.

and Nick's right too. theres only a few situations in which a flatline would really get someone out. you definately cant rely on not moving up any off the break and pouring out all your balls, hoping that one will hit someone.
