go with a 10 inch bigshot, ive had mine for a little over 5 years, very
very few breaks, even in cold. extremely accurate,
played a game last weekend, first three shots were kills, on in the
face and two in the chest.

Any comments on how the barrel performs? Accuracy, ease of cleaning, cost real isn't a factor.

Trust me dude ive shot almost all barels out there for a tippman A-5 and the flat line is the best is donent curve off from the the slightest dirt like others and it goes 250 feet IT IS THE BEST (there arnt alot of barels compared to others) so what you pick ull be happy with ty_ 087@ hotmail.com |

They will all be about the same to clean. Flatline will be just a tad harder becaue of the curve but a regular squeegie will get most of the paint out if one does break.

Well, i have a lapco bigshot, soon to get a lapco barrel kit, I personally dont like the flatline on the A-5 because it would look fruity with what I am planning on (scenario kit from opsgear (M4 or G36)) though the flatline is all good with its amazing 100 extra feet, I personally think its over rated.

I just found myself in the same situation. I chose the smart parts route and it has served me very well. The problems with the flatline is that you have to unscrew the barrel cover anytime you want to clean it. and it chops a lot on my 98 thats why i got rid of it. you would be ok with the all american or the teardrop.

Dude....Definetely get the A5 flatline. Although once in a while
you'll have to get it sandblasted, its great. Its short and
compact...It adds alot of distance and is very, very accurate.
The only thing is that its loud, so you'll have to make your gun
quiet...so ya that's all.

If you play mostly woodsball and want that long range, the flatline is your only choice.
However, if you play a variety of styles or mostly speedball, open fields where you can arch your paintballs to get more distance, Lapco Bigshot is the barrel I would go with. The thing is, on an open field, any barrel can get the same distance as the flatline. You just have to shoot at an upward angle to get the distance. If you're playing in the woods though, or anywhere with an overhead canopy that doesn't allow you to arch your shots into the air, a flatline is the only way to get the distance. |

Why would you ever need to get it sandblasted? The flatline is the one barrel you do NOT want to have a totally smooth internal surface. That's what helps it create the spin on the ball. |

I would get an Ultralite if I were you. On eBay, they go for around $60, and I know that's pricey, but get on in the .688-.692 range, and you can shoot any type of paint with great consistancy. Works on my 'cocker anyway.
