what size allen wrench is needed for the velocity screw of a 98 custom. Does it use the same one as a spyder of does a spyder use metric and a tippmann standar? i just used the allen wrench from my Viewloader to try to adjust the velocity on my tippmann but it doesnt fit.

It is 5/32" according to the manual.

To increase velocity, unscrew the velocity screw, but not all the way out. Hardware stores might sell them individually, but you'd be better off buying a set.

Then it must be different from your other guns. I would say the set  costs $3-5.

Buy an ellen wrench set. They come in a pocket knife style (all wrenchs fold in and out) I have one for my 98 custom and it  works great. you will new have to worry about losing just that one wrench again....
