I have a Sony Cyber-Shot (DSC-P51), and have had it for about 2 years. Although it's only 2.0 Megapixels, this camera is great, and I dont have anymore monies for another.

Anyway, I pick it up to use it one day and the camera is jacked. The LCD still works in the Review Mode, and all that good stuff, but when you go to take a picture it shows a black/pink fade. When I take a picture, the picture is all black. When I try to upload this picture to my PC, it says the USB doesnt work..

So what should I do? Send it in for the repairs, or save my monies for a new one?

um...obviously try repairs first... then decide about a new one.

Cameras are usually much to expensive to repair.  And 2.0 megapixel isn't worth spending money on repairing.  Save up for a 5.1 Cybershot.  My mom just got one for her birthday.  It was like 300 with a warranty.

I have the Cyber-Shot DSC-V3 7.2 megapixels. These cameras are amazing. I would save up your money and get a larger megapixel camera.
