Heyya!

It's not a piece of crap, but it isn't an out-of-the-box high-end marker either. FSDO problems plague it, the efficiency isn't exactly something to be proud of, needs a barrel I think. It is fast, trigger isn't bad.

I've only shot one though.

Realize Smart Parts has cut corners. The Shocker costs $650.00 stock with a SPAA. The Ion costs $280. The Body and barrel do make up a large portion of this (metal milling vs. plastic injections and a crappy stock barrel), but, I do not feel that that is where all the costs are cut, but I'm not sure. It very well could be.

But anyway, it reallys needs some new internals, just like the Shocker, bolts, etc. So, be willing to spend to bring it to high-end preformance levels.

Good Luck!

Well, its deffinantly not the best gun, but if you want it, go ahead, but make sure you've shot, or atleast held one before you buy it, because if you dont, you might buy it and then come to realise to hate it. As for ScarFace, just ignore him, just because he says Ion are a "POS" doesn't mean they are, they may have problems, but every gun does at some point in time, the Ion just has a few more than all the other ones

For $300 it's a great marker (probably the best for the price). You're getting a lot for $300... like pds etc.

It's a great out-of-the-box lower-end speedball gun. But, for $300 new, you cant beat it. I've shot one before and I liked it though I dont think I'm going to own one.

okay, in the future, make your polls one-vote only polls, cause then some moron will come and think its funny to mess up the count.

Heyya!

Hmm...my experiances say no. FSDO plagues all Smart Parts guns except the Nerve possibly, though it can be upgraded and settings mixed around so that the problem is severely reduced. It's not as bad as a Shocker or Impulse, but it still exists. :)

Good luck!

Edit- Second gen ones may not, but the first batch did.

Ions I've seen/shot don't seem to have FSDO problems. Either way, they're great guns for the price: fast, light, have eyes, operate at lower pressure than most guns in their price range(in the 120 PSI area), and don't look half bad.

Ions>Wrath

Lighter, faster, better looking, more upgrades, just about the same price. Don't run a gun over $200 on CO2, get HPA before you spend that cash.

As I said before, I haven't encountered major FSDO with any Ions, or for that matter many SP guns. All the Shockers and Ions I've shot in the past months have shot beautifully, some of the best shooting guns out there.

I vote Ion.

You're joking, right?

Wrath isn't even a true electropneumatic, it gets owned by everything on the face of the planet.

As I said before, I'd suggest an Ion...

You need to learn how to read. Ions have aluminium bodies, with polymer shells. You know the stuff Glocks are made out of? Yeah...same kinda thing. Not the exact same material, but similar(ABS plastic=expensive!). You can use your Ion without the polymer shell on it, or, if someone comes out with an aluminium shell, with that on it, meaning there's no plastic at all(maybe the trigger? Is that plastic? I'm pretty sure it aluminium, but not 100%...). The Ion, being electropneumatic, is faster, and also comes with a better board if you're interested in speed(Rebound=ramping). It's lighter and smaller too. It also take all the Impulse and Shocker upgrades, so it has a much bigger upgrade market already out there for it. It's a pretty simple design, and very easy to replace parts on, while the Wrath is just a Spyder with eyes-nothin' new there, they just added a $20 part.

Ion>Wrath. Period.

Trust me, benjamin, you don't want to get into fights with me over paintball stuff-I've forgotten more about it than you've ever learned.
