ya always a barrel first, then a new hopper (12v revvy should suit you) then a fire power upgrade. what do you plan on playing with your 98c?

Barrel for sure..I'd go with a Smart Parts teardrop..14" to 16" Nothing over that size..

I would wait to put on a firepower upgrade though..The e-grip for the 98 C is coming out soon, and the R/T is not aloud in most feilds.

In my oppinion, get the barrel, double trigger and a hopper first. wait a bit.. Then, the E-grip will be out and you install that bad boy. Fill in the hole by were the cocking handle was with that liquid weld or whatever. Mill the letters off, the foregrip grooves and the leave the rear sight (For close rang attackers) . Get a new elbow, and a Lapco offset with a red dot.

Get HPA asap..Or buy a Dead on 8 stage expansion chamber..Because you don't wanna have to repair you gun because O-rings are busting ECT.

After the barrel I would get your gas under control. Cheap solution =  expansion chamber. I would think long and hard about how much you want to sink into your 98, since some upgrade combinations work really well and others don't. Play some before you decide if you need to up your rate of fire or not. Higher ROF = more money and less hits per ball, with few exceptions.
Think and give them all you have from the beginning, and never weaken!

Search for other posts by cdacda13

On another related note buy a 3A barrel off E-bay cheap and shoots like a boomstick only better.

Agreed but seriously shoot more than 30-40 ft once and you'll know about the stock barrel

Good choice.

I put the Tippmann expansion chamber on mine so it would match, and it works fine. I'm sure some people will list some aftermarket X-chambers that boast more and may even be less expensive, but it may be overkill since mine works fine. Of course, I live in FL and it doesn't get that cold.

Remember, the cyclone will be out for the 98 soon, so consider that before you buy a hopper to feed your e-bolt.

Think and give them all you have from the beginning, and never weaken!

I forget since I no longer own a 98 it wasn't important to me. I think June, around $70. Don't quote me on that, do a search, many have posted about it. I saw it at the NPPL Super 7 in Tampa.

I'm thinking it should be cheaper than that. I'm hoping Tippmann will be smart about this and sell it for around $50.

Liek these fine people say.

#1 Barrel upgrade (nice choice BTW)
#2 Hopper (12v will suite you probably)
#3 Upgrade your air system (ex-chamber or compressed air) I prefer compressed air over co2, but I live in a cooler climate)

Other than that GET OUT THERE and play. You'll discover what you need as you gain experience.
