Making things cheaper will do just that, make them cheaper. Companies aren't going to make quality products if noone is willing to pay for them.

Well that wouldn’t work, the companies gotta make money too you know, or else they all go out of business and then there are no more paintballs at all.

You need to take remedial Economics 1a. $$ to make, $$ to sell.

I'm sorry, but you're a moron.

There is an inflation of the dollar per value with the equipment. It is like that with all specialty sporting equipment. Things cost what the distributors say they do, it is not a reflection of manufacturing cost or anything like that.

A company will take a hit to profits by lowering there prices if it means the difference between going bankrupt. If the demand stays high enough and people pay, then why would they bring the prices down?

I'll tell you, competition, of which in paintball equipment there is not enough. If a company with mass production capability discovered that if they lowered their prices they would corner the market and make enough sales to still have huge profits, the other companies that wanted to survive would follow like dominos.

These cycles happen all the time with production goods. It has to get qued by either a lack of demand from overpricing, or a significant amount of competion between manufactorers.

Think and give them all you have from the beginning, and never weaken!
