I have a confession to make:

Now that I'm older and one of those responsible types, I decided to break down and clean my gun (a 98C). Unfortunately, I did not realize at the time that WD-40 was very, very bad for my o-rings, and I put it on my barrel and at the bottom of the recievers(where the nuts that hold the air inlet are, which thankfully has no o-rings). As soon as I realized my mistake I quickly unscrewed the barrel and wiped off as much as I could, but I'm afraid the damage is done.

Do I need to worry about the rest of my gun, or just about my barrel o-ring?

eh, should be fine...it takes time for wd 40 to eat them. just use regular "PAINTBALL" oil this time.

I broke down the gun again and rubbed Hobbes #9 into the bolt, linkage arm, and barrel, thanks for putting my mind at ease. Now if only I could reseal the oil... (the stuff that came in my kit is a plastic package that you have to cut to open, but I don't know how to shut it)

heheh, just like, find a small conatiner like...a bowl, or even tape the lip and stand it against something on a book shelf till you use it again...or you can vbuy a new bottle of oil and just squeeze it in because down the line you'll need more oil eventually :)
