I have another 98c its pretty basic, its just has a Flatline on it. The bolt the bolt that connects the shroud to the marker (bolt at the back of the maker, where the stock sight was) it stripped, and now I can't take the freakin shroud off. I don't want to break the shroud. Does anybody know a way I can take the bolt off?

well, i know how you can get it out, but it's not gonna help your
situation later on....take an allen wrench or something else sturdy
enough to hit with a hammer and line it up with the screw ON THE
OPPOSITE SIDE OF THE HEAD(the end closest to the nut) and tap/hit it
until it gets pushed through.
like i said, its not good for it, but yourrunning out of choices. the alternative is to take a screw driver and hammer and try to make a new slot for a drill bit/screw driver to fit into p.s. why did you send me a pm to tell me to do this? |

try this
cut a slot in the scerw head making it a flathead acrew now. use a dremel or a hacksaw. either one will work. alother way to get stripped screws out is to get a pair of vise grip and lock them onto the screw head. then rotate and it somes out. it will work as lons as you can get a grip on the screw, doesn't take much. i do this method all the time last wasy (will cost money) cears has a tool that gets screws out its like 20 bucks or so. you drill into the screw then back it out and the stripped screw comes out with it. |
