Topic: A-5 CO2 ProblemPosted: 06 June 2005 at 4:07pm |

Yesterday, I was screwing my CO2 into my A-5, and
all of a sudden CO2 started shooting out of every hole in the
gun. There was CO2 coming out of the barrel, under the trigger,
and other places. It sounded like the gun was emptying all of the
CO2 out. Any ideas of what is happening? It wasn't the tank
either, I tried different CO2 tanks, and different remote kits.
On my gun I have a Flatline, Tapco T-6 Stock, and a remote kit.
No upgrades done to the rate of fire. Can anyone help me?

The first thing I have to ask you, Is your gun cocked first? |

If not make sure all O-rings are lubricated and free of tears. |

I tried both cocked and uncocked, and that did not
make a difference on the air shooting out. Maybe the O rings need
to be oiled. Thanks for the advice.

hey! have you taken out the internals lately? If you have it sounds very likely that your valve washer or valve oring has fallen out.

always happened to me when i field stripped (my gun) when you take out your vertical adapter to pull the bolt out, a small washer and o-ring can fall out the hole download the manuals to see how to put the parts back in or take it in to a shop if you lost the washer and oring

exactly what happened to my gun( except that my expansion chamber flew out and sprained my thumb ) just see if those pieces are missing. u can tell if you see the spring in the vaulve move about freely. So if u need those parts just call tippmann to get new ones.

Bad valve. Overhaul or replace it. No guess work or speculation involved, you have a bad/malfunctioning valve. Edited by Bruce A. Frank |
