That is an odd statement. I have my barrel off and the marker apart at least once a week. When I reinstall the Flatline, I eyeball the position of the adapter then slide the barrel in and rotate it back and forth in the very small available travel. Then center it and tighten the adapter clamping bolt. I fire it a couple of times to see that the paint is not curving left or right. Adjust it if necessary, re-tighten the bolt and try it again. Takes 5 minutes to realign to shoot straight. The barrel installation is not rocket science...no air-smith needed...one really doesn't even need instructions. The only critical part is to make sure the barrel is tight down against the receiver adapter. You look in through the loading port, bump the end of the barrel with the palm of your hand (or a rubber mallet if the slip-fit is tight) and re-tighten the adapter clamping bolt. And this info is in the barrel instructions that come in the box. If you use a scope of a red dot sight, zero'ing it in again may take some effort...15 minutes...but still easy. Some people put a small scratch mark on the frame, adapter and barrel to assure easy re-alignment each time the marker is re-assembled. I have begun to use that method myself. Even the red dot sight is still on target now that I use the alignment marks during re-assembly. People who complain that the marker with the new Flatline now shoots left or right haven't read the instructions...and though that contradicts what I said earlier, all it takes is a little thought as to what the Flatline does; it creates back spin. The path of the ball is actually curving upward. The curve just happens to counteract the normal drop so the trajectory is virtually flat. If the barrel is tilted slightly left or right, the "top" spin imparted causes movement left or right rather than up. Easy! If you need to shoot around bunkers to clip the guy you can just barely see, tilt the marker and use the curved trajectory to reach around the edge. I use that quite often. |

If the land your playing on isn't yours, you should'nt be playing on it in the first place without permission. |
