I have a Model 98. I was going to take off the "TIPPMANN", re-attatch and paint pink the two Ps, the I and the M spelling PIMP. After I realized that they were part of the actual body this became a little more difficult. Any suggestions on how to get them off would be appriciated. It wouldn't be difficult if the didn't have rounded bottoms but they do.. Also I would appriciate it if anyone new of a quick fix for stoping the bolt from wobbling around. Also, I don't know which asa screw goes in front. I never really payed attention to the fact that they were different lengths till now. And I lost my users manual somehow. So if anyone could help with those few things I'd appriciate it.

May I present to you.....the search button.

It allowes you to view previous threads. Sounds great right? Well you can locate this little dohicky in the top right corner of the page. Yep! Thats it, the one that says "SEARCH". May I suggest searching for "milling the letters"?

May I also take this time to introduce you to the Sticky threads. They are full of all kinds of info on the exact thing you're looking to do. CHeck into the "Uber FAQ" and "Uber Upgrades".

Welcome to Tippmann Sports Forums, and have a day.

Thanks for your help but the sarcasm is unnecisary and stupid. I didn't think about the search buttom because its usuall for people to mill their lettering, but not to mill them off so that they can be re-attatched. At least I havn't seen any.

if you mill the letters off, i don't know it can actually put them back on.  just paint them on.  and the short screw goes in front.

I guess this wasn't the right place to come to... I'll just try to figure out a way on my own and if it gets screwed up I'll just mill it all off.

Well, while i dont think its possible, it might be able to be done.
A dremmel and the cutting tool wood work. Be careful. Just try it and see.

And excuse YWSM, he thinks that hes a sniper in paintball

cut them off flat then make both sides of the marker flat (never seen that before) reatach the letters to the flat don't know how it would look but it would definatly be one of a kind!!

or you could cut off the letters you want to use then take it to a local welding shop and have them build up the surface and make it round again...........just a couple of thoughts Good Luck!
