Get a good barrel. 8" Lapco bigshot is a good one. You also might want to be switching to HPA. All you really need is the tank but I would get a Palmer's stabalizer. Next you want a firepower upgrade. Get the e-grip when it comes out for the 98c in the next few months. You would also need the electric hopper. You could get a 12v revolution but I prefer the eggy2. Don't really know that much about playing speedball so sorry if those upgrades really suck. You should probably listen to someone more experience than me.

98c speedball gun is an oxymoron. all the money you would spend on an 98 w/ ebolt would be a great start on a better gun. im not a fan of ions but if you were going to spend $250 for a tippmann, then the ion would be your best bet. ion hpa halo b JJ edge kit [or freak] |

i would say thats just about right and make sure to get the e-grip for 98c whenever it comes out, but i disagree with a freak kit. They are really awesome and if had plaenty of money go for it but that is a lot of money when to start out all you need is like a 8-10'' bigshot or J&J ceramic |

That's not too bad, but if he is gonna be using JUST hpa, then there are better regs out there than the Palmer. The stabilizer is the best reg for c02, and a great reg for HPA, but not the absolute BEST. As for those awesome regs, I don't know much bout speedball either, so you'll have to ask someone else. |
