The receiver is made of aluminum. You should polish the receiver near all
the moving parts, including front bolt, linkage arm, rear bolt, sear, and
trigger.

If you don't have a regulator or an RVA, you will lose some efficiency by
polishing the internals since you have no way of decreasing the dwell of the
rear bolt.

Efficiency...   aka "AIR efficiency".   By polishing your internals you will
increase the speed and force with which the bolt will strike the valve
( increase your dwell ), thereby releasing more AIR. Without a way to
decrease the amount of air in the valve or decrease the dwell ( the time the
bolt opens the valve ) you will be using more air every shot and will lose air
efficiency.

The stock Front Velocity Adjuster (fva) does not decrease the amount of air
released during firing, it will merely slow down the air released inorder to
control velocity. After polishing your internals you will find that you need to
screw your FVA inward inorder to decrease your velocity, since you are now
shooting more air.

Did you understand any of my explanation?

My personal recommendation is to buy an RVA, then polish the internals.

go ahead and polish ur internals cause although u will use more air per shot what FyreFly is forgeting is that the increased speed of the rear bolt will also help return it faster so there is a possitive and a negative side to this mod I personally have done it and love it cause with the help of some other mods I have made my mech tippmann walkable. As for what u polish U polish the area around and under where the trigger slides under where the sear slides the area around and under where the bolt slides and I even went so far as to polish the area where the linking arm slides. To polish ur gun all u need is a dremel or some steel woal.
