Which one and why?
The reason I said Proto and not DM5 is that the Ego is at the Max ceiling of my price range (and may actually be out of it) so that would put the DM5 way over. Plus I've heard that the Proto is just as good. Currently I'm leaning toward the Ego cause Planet is such a great company, and I just love the look and feel of it. But I also really like the spool valve design of the Proto due to it's utter lack of kick. Either way I know I can't go wrong, I just want to know how to go better. Also does the Proto have different firing modes with the stock board, cause I really like all the features of the Ego. |

Proto, or a Used DM4
If you've never held a DM4/Proto you havn't felt a "Real" marker... If I had the spare cash I'd deffinetly go for a DM4/Proto. |

Get ahold of both; get a feel for them. Check out how easy they are to use; like the menus and such. Compare warranties and support. Find out what modes the guns have stock, for yourself. Ask lots of questions. Make phone calls. And finally, shoot them both. Then, you will know which one is right for you.

Yes, I've held both. I shot the Ego, and shot a DM4 (but have
held the Proto. Neither aer very common around any of the fields
I go to, most higher end guns are either timmys or e-cockers. And
I'm pretty sure the Proto is semi only, but I could play around with
the debounce for some fun.

EGO ALL THE WAY...i shot an ego at skirmish d-day..one of the guys in the eclipse tent at the trade show let me and my buds shoot the stock and excessive ego's and wow were they GREAT... |

Proto man those things are so light and fast. Anyway don't get a DM4 Protos are faster then they are stock.
