*Shoot fast, and have a more tournament ready gun. ~Ion OR *Throw your gun in mud, and use it like nothing happened. ~98 Your choice. |

Not quite, with alot of work, and money, a 98 can become better than an Ion, at speed and durability. |

ION is a good low priced High End marker. Remember the $284 for the ION
does not include the Hopper (Halo B $110) or Tank (approx $200
68ci/4500). So you just hit close to $600 (roughly $594).
It is a good marker though and I will more than likely get one. (I can
get one at cost)
Let us see I presently have a Tippmann A-5($229), 20oz CO2 ($18), Flatline ($95), E-Grip ($95), WAS Board ($80), Total = $517 Let us further look at this: I have an A-5 that can rip just as fast and faster than an ION as well as most other high end markers and at least twice the distance without an arch. Now then oh yeah it is a Tippmann so it is durable. CO2 is everywhere also. By the way rumor has it that Tippmann will soon include the WAS board in their E-Grips so that will be minus $80 (back down to $437) Edited by Hardtime |

a) get an ion for speedball and tourny's or... b) get the 98c if u want to be able to dig a hole with it and hide from the enemy, or just be able to beat the enemy to death with it and still continue to play |

Get the 98c. It is wayyyyyy more durable than the ion and if it is upgraded enough it is just as fast as the ion.

The ION is supposed to have custom body covers soon. I wonder if they'll come out with some type of milsim body. I'm still not sold on the ION but the price is attractive. If I could replace the $5.00 worth of internals of an ION for $20.00 I wouldn't give it a secong thought. GLos98C why dump 700 into an ION? The pro's I know that use the ION have only changed the trigger. Just curious. Edited by Lightningbolt |
