I recently purchased the empire 4 piece barrel set and the front bolt is getting stuck inside the barrel.  Is there a reason why this is doing that and can i fix it?

Hi,
Welcome to the forum. First I am going to assume you have a Tippmann. I had the same problem with my 98C. First check your o-ring. Does your barrel wiggle at all? If so put the stock o-ring on. Empire uses smaller o-rings than Tippmann.

Check the front bolt. Is the o-ring messed up? Is there plastic at the seams that needs trimmed? Check under the o-ring also.  I found some in the groove that was  making the o-ring  not seat all the way.

Next look at you barrel line up, and the threads on both the barrel and the gun, and where the two reciever haves meet. My 98C was cast a little rougher than most so I chased the threads with a small jewlers file and some sandpaper because there were high spots, burrs and blubs from casting. I ended up doing a full tear down to get at all the gun threads. I figured at this point that now was a good time to do the entire gun and polish the internals. The barrel is next. Warning! The barrel thread where it tapers down was razor sharp! Take that off with the file and sandpaper. Tada! problem fixed. Now ask me which of the things I did fixed the problem?....???  But, boy does she run smooth now.
