Ok, so I'm 99.9% I'm getting a 68/3000 crossfire for my A-5 but I'm not sure if it would make sense to put a palmer male stablizer on it as well. Would it get more shots per tank and be more consistant(and more inportantly be worth the $80)? I also plan to upgrade to an E-Grip in about a year so if that matters at all.

You will operate at a lower preasure about 500 psi with the palmer, you
will be able to save more air and it will be more consistant.

Actually the pressure is around 800 not 500.
|

The regulated output from the HPA tank is around 800 psi. The Palmer comes set from the manufacturer to deliver approximately 500 psi to the marker. You may find that you can adjust the Palmer to even lower pressures and have it function as smoothly and possibly more quietly. |

If you are going to operate at pressures that low (<500psi), shouldn't you be using a LP valve also? I guess if you can get velocities right, it wouldn't be a problem, but I'm curious how it works out in the real world...

depending on your set up the A-5 can operate around 600 psi without having a LPK if you have an R/T on it it operates around 700 psi. Aslo getting a RVA will help consistance and just playing with you FVA all the way out.
