what would be a better gun to get for speed ball a ion or a bko?

Cost little more then ION (Not too much)
Rumored to break down alot/chop balls.
(I owned a Vapor Bushmaster, and I will say its the LAST ICD gun i'll ever own. What you choose to think of that comment is your own opinion)
Requires alot of tweaking and money spent to become a truly remarkable force.

A BKO with a chaos board and PDS is a monster. for any ICD Gun, I recommend www.tantrumpaintball.com. That should cover any need you'll have for those guns.

ION

PROS
Fast (17bps, but it RAMPS! Thats a Tourny NO-NO, and it also looks very pitiful to have to use a gun that ramps to 17 once you reach around 5bps)
Uh...You can change its colors *yay?*
Suprizingly solid feel.
LIGHT
Easy to use, maintain, and mess with.

CONS
Ramps...you should know better then to use that mode
Out of "Ramp" mode, your lucky to reach past 10bps. A new trigger might help, but still...
Stock trigger is cheaply made...but works
Amazing confusing internal structure.
Leaks out the ying-yang if "stupidly" tamperd with.

The ION might be the answer to your speedball needs, however, definately not something i'd recommend for tournament players.

Um.......Obviously you don't know much about the Ion. True, there is A ramping mode, but it doesn't ramp the whole time. It is legal in tournies because it does have a true semi auto mode that does not ramp.

Ion but get a new feedneck and HPA and u got a pretty darn good gun especially if u add a new barrel even though the stock one is alright.

I personally hate the ion, i match up with them all the time with my tippmann and kick their butts, i have played my friend who has played for many many years, (me only about 2) and i beat him. IF you can do good with the ion go for it, but if your not good with a semi marker then your'e not gonna change much gettin an electro marker, like i always say, the player makes the gun the gun doesnt make the player (supposed to be other way around i was just too lazy to fix after i typed lol)

I just think that buying the ION for the ramping purposes is kinda stupid.

People don't buy it just to ramp. Any high end gun has a ramping mode. Hell, Even the E-bolts have ramping modes. Get over it.
