The male would be the easiest to use with an A5 since it has a built in vertical adapter. No mount or adapter needed. Maybe a 90 degree elbow to attach your gasline, and maybe a different length gasline, but those are both pretty cheap if needed.

The male will screw right into the bottom of the marker. Later switching to a remote will require some re-plumbing, but will still work with the male.

if you are planning on the remote, then yes, the male will still work. you just have to put the quick disconnect on the palmer, its easy.

however, the inline palmer is made for the remote setup. and since its the cheapest once by 30 bucks, you may want to at least look into it.

if you are worried about where the inline would go. you can  put it right off the tank. or you can mount it using fairely cheap materials found at any gun store.

the male is the easiest to mount overall, but its also the most expensive

just a thought.

buy them at hotshotpaintball.com, they are the cheapest

well, the inline will be 55 bucks and remote is 35 plus shipping.
then make 20 or so for a neat mounting mod. but thats up to you. the inlin can alays just screw on the tank, and thats free.

With the a5, you could get the male $90 + fittings and hoses $15, or you could get the female and the rings for around $90.  It is all preference.  If you want the reg to make a foregrip, you can get the male, if you want it to take the place of the asa (air source adapter, or the thing that you c02 screws in) you can get the female.  To get the inline, all you need is the reg and a remote.

get the male stabalizer and install it directly into the tombstone, run your stock gasline from the ASA to the input of the reg using a 90 degree elbow and some loctite of teflon tape, if you choose to get a remote later on, you can connect the remote to the stock ASA no problem, no "re-plumbing"

as for where to buy? i find county paintball has decent prices on palmer regs, just as low as anywhere else (besides ebay)

have fun
