it should be fine without it, but if you can get it replaced, I think
Tippmann might send you some more if you ask, or you could just go to a
hardware store and look around for it, and buy it there.

10-32 threaded bolts from the local hardware store... if needed.

Tippmann felt that a screw (bolt) through the grip at that area was necessary. When you tighten the screws that hold the ASA the nuts exert pressure that tends to push the grip frame halves apart. When you add the weight of the tank the potential for eventual cracks is high. I would replace the screw and nut. It is a standard 10-32 Allen head screw. You can find them in the specialty fastener section at Home Depot. They are also available there in stainless steel, the best choice. The head will be slightly different than the original, but the head will not extend above the grip panels on the frame...and the deeper head will be stronger, less prone to strip. Then lighten up on the torque when putting the screw back in. |

no the hole where the bolt goes in is stripped not the bolt itself.

Unless I'm thinking of the wrong hole/bolt/screw...
I didn't think any of the holes in the receiver were threaded, except for maybe the ones holding the grip panels. Every other hole... the bolt passes directly through and is held in place by the nut on the other side. So long as the nut grips the bolt... you should be good. |
