Those things (desklets) give me info.  Top center is CPU usage, to its lower left is memory swap, lower right is Hard drive space.  on the left side is a countdown and google search.  on the right is the weather report.

Mine is one of the stock apple desktops. It's blue with little swirly lines.

Your desktop is ugly!

When I want to know the weather, how long until 5:30 this Sunday, when I want to see how much space I have on my HD, ect.

I have a rock hanging from a string for that. I call it weather rock. And i have over 3 clocks on one wall for the time... I didnt mean to have it work out that way either.
