I need to stop a leak in a gun, should I use teflon tape or loctite around the threads. How would I use teflon tape or what type of loctite should I use. Thanks for you help!

Both do a good enough job, I personally think loctite is much
easier. Red could do fine, but if you ever plan to unscrew where
ever it's leaking again, use blue, both work fine.

I think Enos posted somewhere how to use it correctly..he said
something like cut off 1-2 inches, fold in half long ways, and wrap
tightly starting at the top of the threads.
I myself used to think loctite until I tried it and it ran like water all over the place and I realized that my High pressure air compressor in the garage uses nothing but teflon tape for all the connections, but who knows maybe I bought some old loctite?? |

Teflon tape has no sticky at all, its really smooth, thin plastic that fills the gaps in the threads |

Ack. ALWAYS use Teflon tape. Loctite is NOT a sealer! It will hold your threads in place (great until you want to take a part off) but it will NOT make a pneumatic seal.
Plus Teflon tape is super easy to use. No drying at all and if you screw up you can peel it off pretty quickly. |
