One day i was bored so i made a potatoe cannon and it shoots great. A
little after that i was hosting a pretty big paintball game at my back field. and i thought it would be cool to have paintball artillery. so i loaded one of those plastic paintball bagsand stuffed it down the barrel for a wad and i loaded it with about 100 rounds of paintballs. me and my cannon where recruted with the team with the lowest number of people and went out and started to play. sence it was a one shot deal i had to sit and wait for the perfect shot. That shot came in a form of about 4 guys hudeled up close behind a bush. so i got into position and shot it up in the sky, then it rained paint on them. it was a spactacular sight 3 of the 4 were hit by the barrage of paint. After that in my senario games i have been using it for fun. ive made 4 so the other side could have a fair chance lol. ive even used mathmatical calculations simaler to real artillery calculations to get a rough angle and velocity on where to shoot. Anyone whose taken physics would know this math. Let me know what you guys think good or bad. if any of you guys do the same thing or have questions feel free thx Edited by razer1424 |

Well what you should do is tick one of those tippmann paint grenades in there, people say that they don't work but using it as a mortar or with a potato launcher it will bust. Just don't aim it at them. Aim in front of them.

my 23 year old brother made a potato gun. and he shot it at a old car and it made a BIG dint in the door. it ran off of hairspray.

I have 2 potato/tennisball mortars. I have a short barrel and a longer barrel for better accuracy.
 I use the high powered jet fuel for my mortars. Its shoots the tennisballs really high into the air(I couldn't see the tennisball for a while). It was a good thing no one called the cops because it sounded like a shot gun.

Ive thought of doing that..., nice to know that it actually works..., gonna have to do that now for the next scenario match..., only im gonna make a huge one, and slap some wheels and a shield on the front, like an old german artillery gun
That would scare the hell outta my neighbors...

I like this idea. I saw a thing on Junkyard Wars where they launched pumpkins out of a cannon using an air compressor. They put like half of a bucket in to hold the pupmkin and make a seal, and I thought of using the same concept except with painballs.

Be careful with this, the larger the load, the greater possibility the chamber will explode if you're using propellants.

mine works great i have a potatoe gun made out of pvc it has a 4'' wide chamber and it goes down to a 2'' barrel. i take a peice of cardborad and i make it fit tigt in the barrel and i leat it sit in there for like ten minutes so it keeps its shape then i just put the paintballs in the card bord cup thing and then i crumble up a paper towel and cap the card borad cup with it so i can ram the whole thin down the barrel without breakin the ball when it fires the paper towel has to be loose enought to fall out in the air. my chamber is short and i use the sAME amount of spray each time and i think it shoots at like 240fps so i can shoot it directly at the ppl i havent yet but i might. just gotta ask the other team first. every once in a while the cardboard goes just as far but it couldnt possibly hurt. all in all it is just a 3 foot long shotgun. i can change the length of the cup but the longest held like 13 balls so ..... try it but dont hurt ppl |
