well me and my friend are converting a cheap point zero beetle pump into a shotgun. We are modifying the bolt so that it fires paint without the shell. if possible i will try to get a video up on the internet. We just started so dont be expecting results soon! by teh way i am MKB98C and i lost my password, and the lost password system is a dead end (ahem, admins plz fix)

Why don't you make it to where it fires like five paintballs at one time? It would travel longer distances.

I've seen kids do that to other peoples gun at tournaments, or degass them a bit or even take the whole barrel, so one kid turn the ASA off and put holes in the macro line. It doesn't matter, The Guy's idea is waaaaaay better than a PB shotgun, he's got that boomstick. I have a old shotty(didn't work) and I removed the barrel and made a small spud gun fit into it, I can't get the valve thang into the trigger area, and I can't make a loader for it yet, so it's un-tested, because it's ugly, I may have to deem it a failed experiment, but this is a nice idea to start with, we used old defomed paint we got for cheap which does spread and fly in random directions like a shotty, just go to a shop and ask for ooooooold paint, either that or get cheap blue streak or something from WAL*MART. |

Or just take the 6mm paintballs from airsoft and pack plenty of those inside some real thin wadding(toilet paper) put it down the barrel, and there you go, only thing is you have to load it like a muzzle loader, but hey it works.

or wat i was thinking, if you could get an empty paintball shell, then
fill it with as many 6mm paintballs as u can. the big paintball
shell would have to somehow break open as it leaves the gun. then
the 6mm paintballs would spread apart.

Yeah dude, those things never break. If you want a true shotgun, you are gonna have to switch to different diameter barrel. Like 1.5" |

monkeyman y dont u just just put something sharp at the end of the barrel so when the powerful shot goes then it will shatter the shell and have paint go everywhere like a shot gun. POW!

maybe more like something like a metal net that has hole just big even for the paint to spread out but small enough to hold the shell, and maybe after each shot like you can put a hindge near the end so when it gets full u can empty it.

Why are you making this? It seems horribly, horribly impractical. You could shoot someone with a normal paintball just as easily, and from further away.

Because some people like variety. I for one get tired of always fireing a .22, so I moved up to a 9MM, then to a .45, then to a .223, then to 20 guage, then to 12 guage, and the occasional 30-06 M1 garand. People like changes, not just the same thing over and over again. |
