NASA and the Americans spent millions of dollars and hundreds of hours to develop a pen that would write in space.....The Russians used a pencil.

It doesn't really matter. You can use electrical tape, duct tape etc. Don't use crappy stuff or in might wear down.

Any tape will wear down.   The tape is not going to stay, it will migrate, and after a while of soaking in the oil it will not stick to anything. Then you have crap gumming up the works.

Go to Radio Shack and get some shrink wrap, if your insistant on screwing up your sear.

i used hocky sock tape, I do recomend this mod thanks for supporting use of my site. I played 3 games and test fire my tippmann all the time and only thing diffrent is a shorter trigger pull, hint put a small tade of super glue between layers of tape.

oh no problem at all. After I did that mod I noticed alot of unnescesary trigger pull so you might wanna look into trigger stops.

have not done this mod successfully. This mod is so sweet, that i cannot use my safety anymore. It has to be around a 1mm trigger squeeze. If this mod is done well, you will need some trigger stops.

What you are all missing is that when you do this mod, you reduce the size of the area that the sear catches the rear bolt. Yes it will reduce the length of the trigger pull, but the sear and the bolt are catching on the very edge. So keep in mind that you will reduce the life expectancy of the sear. The edge will chip off and round off untill it doesn't catch anymore.

buy an extra sear now, you will need it soon.

Sears are like $10, which I just realized was not as cheap as I thought they were.  I am thinking about removing the tape around my pin.  My R/T shoots great without it,  but if you have the $10 for the extra sear, I'd say go for it.

the sear ALWAYS catches on the edge. For people that have done this how long have you used this on your gun and have you had to replace your sear?
