My e-grip

I just got my e-grip last night and this morning I've been messing around
with it. My double finger trigger doesn't work with it, but if I pull it light
enough it works. I think that it's the silver thing on the trigger. I looked at
it and indeed when I pulled the trigger back it was hitting the sear (I think
that's what it was). The single trigger that came with it had the silver
thing taken off, is there any way that I could take it off of my double
finger trigger so that I could use it with my e-grip?
