My cousin has a spyder Xtra with a rocking trigger and a Q loader and he has about $300 left still what outher upgrades should he get?

Sell the Xtra and get an Ion or something. Rocking triggers are not allowed at most fields and an Ion would be way faster any way. Theres no way a Spyder is going to go near fast enough for a Q-loader.

I know. I just think it would be more worthwhile to buy a new gun, but if your intent on keeping that one, you should get HPA, a drop forward, and a barrel.

Tell him to get a Nitro tank then buy a good reg and a good barrel. This should all add up to about $300 or so depending which stuff he gets.

ever read about the rocking trigger, 30 bps, q-loader 30 bps. it can shoot that but most people cant

It would be better to get a new marker then upgrade a spyder or tippmann, trust me, b2k4 w/ pds goes for $220 now.

yes it does go 30 but is not tourney legal but if he is just into playing rec then hpa and barel

getting HPA would definetly be an asset. Also, maby a new regulator would also help a lot. A progressive/teardrop barrel would be fine (I'd recommend the teardrop, I have it and like it, although there are lots of good ones out there). Does he have a drop forward? Those are also nice to have. Maby a new bolt? A supafly perhaps? you'll need to do some research on those.

And people, please don't recommend a new gun. I'm sure he's already considered that option, and has decided against it. Recommending a new gun when he doesn't want one is not going to answer his question.

Heres what he should get...

  1. HPA tank- around $200 depending on what kind he gets.
  2. Reg-I would suggest a CP Grip reg- $65.
  3. Barrel-J&J or Teardrop/Progressive- $40.

Exactly he wants to just keep his Xtra and put more upgrades on it and yes he does have a drop
