just wondering wich you guys may prefer.

to me accuracy is everything high rate of fire is just frustrating like if i fire at 15-17 bps and hit nothing then the player i was shooting at hits me in the face with one shot while i was reloading,

i mean 15bps hitting the side of a hut you want to take or 5bps going through the window

may help you decide wich way to take your marker

Well, I've kept my Tippy completly Mech, so I definetly DON'T have high rates of fire. (although I have done some trigger mods to get slightly faster bps than a stock). Having a teardrop barrel, Palmers stab and a HPA tank, I've gone for accuracy.

I have a JJ Ceramic and a r/t. So my gun is pretty fast and accurate I guess.

Accuracy>Speed. It's not going to matter how fast you're shooting if you aren't hitting anything.

Both. Speed has its place. Cover fire and suppressing fire is very usefull to get team mates in better position.

For some reason I tend to get stuck making direct assaults on objectives while others take the flanks. In this role ROF is really good to have. I throw a lot of paint so everyone is concerned with me and not with my people coming up the sides.

I actually want to get a second A5 and set on up with my Flat Line, and have the other set up for fire power.

I prefer fast speed to pinpoint accuracy as long as the paintballs all land near enough to each other.

well, if the balls are all landing in the same area, then he has accuracy and speed.  i would prefer to have accuracy over speed any day.  shoot, i would love to have pinpoint accuracy and only 1 ball every 2 seconds!  I take what i can get though, which is an A5 with J&J and an egrip....bit of both i suppose once i get the dang thing dialed in.  RIght now it shoots a group that is about 6 feet in diameter from right around 45 feet.  Dont know why yet, still working on it.

may help you decide wich way to take your marker

Before I went with the E-Bolt I had neither accuracy or high rates of fire. The mechanics of the 98C was not conducive of holding steady shot to shot...even with the fact I owned some of the best barrels available.

But, before the E-Bolt I could not even get a shot in to the fray because I was pinned behind my bunker by everyone else's ability to lay down such high rates of fire. The speed of the marker with the E-Bolt was so dramatically improved that now I could snap shoot 5+ paintballs. This caused my tormentors to have to duck back behind their bunker. My "spray" of suppressive fire allowed me to stay out long enough to identify targets and also allowed me to post on a few which I then could take out with a single shot when they popped out again.

On the speedball course I now shoot a lot more paint than I used to. Not because I have succumbed to the "spray and pray" philosophy, but because I now can intimidate the "enemy" with rates of fire that then allow me to find and neutralize my target.

Suppressive fire is an absolute necessity on the speedball course. But, the ability to hold steady enough to allow for the capabilities of the barrel absolutely levels the field against the Angles, the Ions and the 2Ks. The high ROF allows you to slow the other guy down enough to then take a few split seconds longer to make that center goggle hit.(through the castle window)

Sorry, felt like adding that. You'd be surprised at the number of people I see who don't aim at all. They just point and shoot and wonder why they don't hit nothing. Then when they are on the sidelines, they are tinkering with their markers and re-chronoing. And then they are confused when they take the time to aim and actually hit what they are aiming at. Surprisingly, I've put paintball on top of paintball using the stock barrel on my 98. I did it because I had some good paintballs and I took the time to aim. I also wasn't trying to shoot at people 100s of feet away (another tactic I've seen). Just because you see someone/thing moving/being still, doesn't mean you have to unload your hopper on it/him/her. Take a second or two to line up a shot. You might just be surprised at the end results.

Back to the question at hand, I will always choose accuracy over speed. I am NOT a beliver in accuracy by volume, espeically since I buy my own paintballs (while supporting my family at home). A well placed shot will win over a rain of paintballs any day of the week.
