low is better, you get more shots. high output is better for some markers than others.

^ thats not right...

the high/low pressure refers to the output pressure.

high pressure has an output PSI of about 800-850PSI
low pressure has an output PSI of about 450PSI i beleave(been a while since i looked at hpa tanks)

anyway some guns run on lower pressure than others. most low end guns (anything that can run CO2 without a reg) will only run on a high pressure tank. most higher end guns run on lower pressure. the idea of a lp tank is to have the air come out better regulated so the 2nd reg wont have to work as hard.

in short a high pressure tank (output of 800-850) is a "better" choice for a newer player or someone with more than one gun.

as for shots per tank that has nothing to do with the output psi. shots per tank relies 100% on the marker set up. low pressure guns use more volume and will actuly use more air in most cases(less shots per tank).

Air is simply better.

Neither is better than the other. It all depends on what marker uses what. Some use HPA other use LPA. Like said above, most of the very expensive markers run on LPA while pretty much anything under a grand will operate on HPA, it all depends on the marker.

Research first before you buy.

Stock Tippmanns REQUIRE a high-pressure tank.  Your Tippmann will not operate on 450psi, unless you have a low pressure system.

Even if you have a low pressure system, it will work better with a high pressure tank.

Get a high pressure tank.

HPA with an 850psi preset output. *Pretty much any hpa tank has a 850psi output.

Crossfire 68/4500 is a nice tank.
68= 68 cubic inches
4500= the amount of pressure the tank can fill too, 4500psi

Centerflag, Crossfire, and PMI are among the more popular quality brands.  There are others.

Price for 68/4500 should be 200ish.

I'd reccomend a Crossfire. They're great tanks and aren't real expensive. If you don't mind buying used then look on Ebay. They have some great deals on tanks on there.

That looks like a good tank. Let me just check this one thread to make sure that tank doesn't fall under the ones that can't be filled anymore (wouldn't want you to buy a useless tank). Report back in 1 sec.

Edit: Yup, that tanks good to go. It's the tanks that have the # DOT-E 12695 that are bad (just incase you look at any more tanks).
