should i put a firestorm crank and a response trigger on my m98c, or would that be redundant. what about just a crank, or just a response? the overall question is: will a firestorm crank and a response trigger rip?

the firestorm crrank and responce combo wouldnt increase total speed of the crank.

the responce trigger would be limited to how fast you could crank the crank.

the crank is a bad idea, think about it. how can you aim while trying to move something thats attached to your gun in a circular motion.

basically what im saying is dont get the crank because it causes an accuracy drop, and if you do deciude to, you mite as well not get the rt because the rt would be limited to the cranks total speed.

my conclusion: no crank, just get the rt

Just get the r/t. With it you won't need the crank. The r/t can go faster than the crank anyway if it's well tuned.

ok thanks, i just thought if you did it right, the r/t would double the output of the crank. i guess im just silly.

as for accuracy, i have a stock and can brace it against my shoulder while cranking. it would work just fine, but i think ill get an r/t.

^^^If you play speedball then make sure your local course allows the r/t before you get it.

^^^Umm, yes you do. No matter how fast you're shooting you still need to aim. Like Frobs said it's going to make it toughter to aim with the Firestorm crank.

If you want really fast, do the super r/t mod. And accuracy is very important for suppresion fire. You actually have to hit the bunker you're trying to suppress. Otherwise you're just shooting thin air. And I can't see the firestorm being that good of an idea when you're the last one left on your team.....

The crank would do the exact same thing if you also had the rt installed. Just get the RT. Or an E-bolt.

I saw a guy playing in the Global Conquest Game at Hell Survivors with the Fire Storm... it looked kind of fun.  You can definitely control your rate of fire with it... crank slow, crank fast, crank enough for one shot or 20+...  I would not replace mt R/T with it though.

Search this forum for details on how the R/T works and ask for a demonstration of it at your local Tippmann store... not Tippmann as sold at WalMart now.... I mean a real pro-shop.  The actual application of the FS with the R/T would not work well at all, and you will see why when you try the R/T.  You will either like it and master it, or hate it and prefer an e-grip.  It definitely takes the right touch to hit the sweet spot on an R/T enhanced marker, which is why it would be weird with the FS crank.  Sometimes people pick it up and just do it... others have to mess with it before they get it down.  I love mine!

no need to double the ROF of the R\T you can easily reach 20 bps

True, if you are just a heavy gunner and want to lay down fire. But the point is, get an RT and you can throw down fire and it fires like a normal marker. No need to have the hassel of turning that little crank.

And like the other gentleman said the RT is way faster than the crank. I get 12 BPS on my RT, max I have heard is 18 bps on the RT (stock RT, not modded that is). Your gonna have to twist that Fire Storm pretty fast to get that. You get four shots per rotation. Making more that one or two rotations a second is going to make your shots very erratic. The Fire Storm is ideal for a mounted gun, on say a tank, helo, or stationary gun implacment at a bunker. But for a grunt, I say RT all the way.

what happens if you spin the crank just right and hold it? wouldnt that sweetspot the r/t and hold it steadier than a finger?

I'm pretty sure it won't work that well, sweetspots tend to last short bursts, so you may just get a few shots out of it, but not much.  I'd just seriously throw this idea away, the firestorm crank to begin with is a piece of poo, I've seen them, I've used them, not worth the time/money.

It takes a little time getting use to the RT, but once you get it down pat, it rips. I use mine and it is like second nature to find the sweet spot.
