Heya all.
I've been playing Paintball for a good couple of years now, but because I literally live in the back end of beyond, getting hold of markers has always been troublesome. However my Flatline equipped 98 custom served me well. I don't have access to machineing tools, and gettign hold of either real firearm parts or even airsoft parts has been really hard and expensive. And is likely to get worse. Paintball is still struggling to become mainstream where I am, but we've got a couple of new mags out, and one or two new suppliers. One of the ads in the latest paint ball magazine was for Warsensor M4 style mil sim marker. This is more or less exactly what I want. Off the shelf no hassle M4 paintball marker. Now how good are they? I just bounced over to the Waresnsor and Armotech websites and they don't list them. They've got the new WS-47 AK-47 look alike, but I'm wanting an EBR. Should I get one, or should I try shop around for another make? Please don't suggest modifying my Tippmans, even though I know this is a tippmann forum. I love my Tippy's but don't have the ability to modify them. KBK |

There are sites out there that sell mods for Tippy's. Have you tried www.opsgear.com? Most of the most stuff is relatively easy. No need for machineing or stuff like that. If you can take apart your marker for maintenance you can install that stuff. |

have you heard of the gameface recon. its m4 like and electric. it takes spyder internals and barrels if necessary. also, its double finger electric. its not a perfect copy, but it looks really cool. oh, and its only 300 bucks.

To be honest with you, buying what your looking at won't increase the quality of a Tippmann 98 with a FL. Upgrading can be a **edited**, but it has is benefits.
Just know that its alot cheaper to upgrade as opposed to starting over. Tippman makes alot of good upgrades, as well as other like LAPCO. Remember buying a gun that usually already has a nice cosmetic look is what most of your money is paying for, NOT preformance. Thats was nice about tippmann is that it gives you a decent gun with that option. to answer your Q about the AK and what not, I've looked well into it (as I was in your shoes a short time ago) and found that the preformance was actually lower than that of your 98C equiped with an average barrel. If you live in the middle no nowhere, it'll probably cost the same to buy custom upgrades as opposed to buying a whole new gun and possibily finding that your 'new gun' may also require more parts to bring it up to speed. Good Luck! |

True true. However some milsim markers are now finding their way into the back end of beyond. The Warsensor are the first ones to be easily available here.
While I do love my 98, and it looks suitably wicked with the Flatline, I'm wanting something with a little more scare value :) KBK |
