A gun is not a weapon... It's a tool. Like a butcher knife, or a harpoon, or...uh, a...an alligator. |

It's alright. I'd stick with paintball, though.

I've played airsoft, and it doesn't qutie compare for one big
reason. There is no sense of danger like there is in paintball. I hate to say it, but the promise of a little pain is one of the adrenaline rushes of paintball. Ever see a bunch of guys dive head first for the dirt when a paintball gun opens up on em'? That's instinct. They are getting out of the way of that welting projectile. That's first on your mind when getting shot at in paintball. In airsoft, the sting is nothing, and so it creates the opportunity to take wild risks without the threat of welting consequences for doing something crazy or stupid. Imagine you want to rush up on a bunker in paintball. One of the things stopping you is you know it's gonna hurt if you get lit up. There is nothing like that holding you back in airsoft. You might as well just play lazer tag. Another problem is these scenario players that like to wear tac vests and stuff doen't even know they've been hit half the time, and a lot of guys can cheat cause there's no evidence of a hit, like in paintball. So, you gotta make sure you're playing with good honest guys. Besides, don't you just love hearing that solid "thwack" when you hit someone with a paintball, and seeing a bright patch of paint splat on them? that said, airsoft is an ok game. One plus is you can play inside without painting up a place, and the guns are really realistic cool looking guns. But, I'll take paintball over airsoft any day. Edited by No Quarter |

I don't really like airsoft. Bu it is a cheaper alternitive to paintball. And I wouldn't say there is an off season for paintball. I love playing in the snow.

i play both. theyre basically the same. you can get 6500 bbs for 8 bucks. if you do get a gun do your research before you buy one because there are a lot of crap guns that people say are good.

i dont think its ok, all u airsofters need to come back to the good
side. dont let darth airsofter pull u in, let macepaintballer take care
of u lol(i just watched star wars) ne way, i dont think airsoft is
better than paintball. first of all, u can lie about when ur hit
because no one knows. ive never shot one of these things but, ocrrect
me if im wrong wouldnt they get carried away in the wind???. i love the
rush of getting hit. its fun. ne way do wat u want. arent there any
indoor paintball places around u??

Also I dont know why people stop playing during the winter, the paintballs dont freeze or get harder because there oil based now unless you play when its like -30 degrees it shouldnt matter an dplus it would hurt less becasue during the winter you can wear thicker clothes so you wouldnt feel it as much ( even though its harder to run like that)

Airsoft is pretty fun but me and my firends quit playing it and just
stuck with paintball. But we are thinking about taking it up again. It
is alot cheaper than paintball. It's pretty much the same thing except
you have cooler looking guns and you shoot plastic bb's.
My off season for paintball is during the summer. It's too hot to play in the summer I just play in the spring, winter, and fall. |
