Flatline barrel or Sniper barrel?
I'm looking into buying a A-5 w/ E-grip, Double Trigger kit, 20oz co2.  I don't want to keep the stock barrel.  I'm going to be playing a little speedball and little bit more woods.  I read taht the Tippmann team uses sniper barrels... I'm assuming that they don't "need" the flatine.  I don't wanna use my $ if I don't have to.  If there is a different topic with the same subject, if you could leave me a link. If not give me some comments on what you think.  THnx

P.S. If the sniper is the choice to your answer, what size would I need to get.

Thnx again
Matty

The reason they don't "need" the flatline is because they play speedball and the extra range is unecessary.  However if you play speedball the Flatline gives you an immense advantage.

If you choose to get the "sniper barrel"  anything over twelve inches is a waste.  I learned that the hard way.  So if you play woodsball, get a flatline but if you play speedball get a J&J ceramic or something.

The Tippmann sniper barrel sucks. The A-5 Flatline rocks. Don't go over 14" on any barrel.

Okay dude, the Tippmann sniper barrel sucks. Get something else. Dye Excel, 14 inch is a good all around choice. There are tons of other good barrels out there.

The Flat Line is deffinetly not the best ideal for speedball. A good barrel kit would be good for speedball, but they can cost a bit.

I'd get a Lapco Bigshot (Bigshot). It will give you all-around performance, since you play both woods and speed.

Get a Lapco BigShot or J&J ceramic. They're good all-around barrels that are budget wise. However, my personal prefrence would be the All-American. It costs more, but a very good barrel. Oh, and don't go over 14"
Ref: I want a nice clean game

The flatline is nice for both speedball and woodsball I have heard.

I think you meant a 21", 21 feet that's a big barrel.

Between your two choices I'd go with the flatline. I would also recommend you look into some other barrels that work just as well as or maybe even better than a flatline like the Lapco Bigshot or the J&J Ceramic or many others. If you do that try to keep the length around 12-14in.

APEX r pretty cool. they probably not allowed on ur feild cause people call em cheater gimicks. and the snpier barrel is not all tha bad, its better than the stock and improves accuracy ( well i noticed a difference)

the flatline causes a big ubalence in ur gun the front end is way heavier because it has the cyclone feader also so it kinda front heavy but its asowome for distane and accuracy , suck  in the rain tho
