From what I've heard Stiffi's are great barrels but a little expensive new. If you're looking for the best bang for the buck get a Lapco Bigshot.

Stiffies are not the quietest, I promise you. But they're good barrels.

Freak, Ultralite, CP, Stiffi...

All good ones.

stiffies can become rather hazardsome in the future if you clean the barrel and some fibre strands come off... get either a Smart Parts or Dye barrel

The one that is attached to a Matrix.

Barrels will only quiet your gun down so much.

Then what barrel is?

The one with the most porting, usually.

The stiffi has minimal porting.

@Clark Kent,
I realize that, but don't have the funds to switch to a different marker.

@hybrid-sniper,
I figured that as well, but I've heard that the porting on the stiffi is special and actually does a better job of quieting than barrels with more porting. Don't know for sure, just what I've heard. I've got a 14" J&J Ceramic and I really like, but I am always looking for ways to make my marker quieter without sending a check to ATF for a silencer ;)

Maybe it does: I'm no expert in this field. I just know that fewer holes usually means more noise.

if i had a ion, i would keep everything smart parts, like id get a smart parts drop and other ups for it from them,

id get an AA barrel, they shot throught breaks and clean themselves pretty much.

Yeah, but dude, Smart Parts is a good company that knows what they're doing. Besides, they make some truly awesome gear. (Ion, Impulse, Shocker, Nerve, All American, Freak, and Teardrop.)
