I was thinking of buying a double trigger to help me shoot faster but some people have been saying double triggers dont help you shoot faster. Is this true and if not what are they for?

Double triggers can be used effectivly to shoot faster. They are also for comfort. With some trigger mods, you can make your trigger pull very light and shoot pretty fast. Double triggers are pretty useful.

It depends on your style lol. speedballers usually find double trigger usefull. It alowes you to use 2 fingers on the trigger instead of one, witch CAN result in faster if you know how to use it.

Double triggers allow more finesse. You still only use one finger on them, but your finger works in a swinging motion rather than a pulling motion. Keeping the finger straight while swinging can make you shoot faster with practice.

As tippmann markers arent (usually) able to be walked, the double trigger is just an upgrade used for comfort, and slightly increased speed. Although it's not of much help, I liked mine.

It's all personal preference. It might enable you too shoot faster, or it might not. Try one out and see if you like it better.

I have a double trigger on my mech 98. After a game, I was just fooling around, and shot some balls off, to see how fast I could go. Another person with a single trigger thought he could do the same. We didn't have a ball counter, so we'll never know, but I'm gonna guess he shot about the same. Thing is though, he had to put a lot more effort into it (he got his arm involved, while I just used my fingers)

For a mech gun, a double trigger may not help fire faster, but it will definetly help you fire easier and in a more comfortable fashion.
Ref: I want a nice clean game
player: but it's paintball!
