whats an aliminuim insert?? and what does it do i know its something to
do with the barrel, what size is best or does it depend on other things?

as the impusle has the same thread as the ion will most sites just have
impusle thread written up and not the ion thread??? and whats the
difference between freak and freak jnr???

inserts are made for like a freak barrel , you put the inserts in the end of the barrel. Their are different sizes for different paint sizes. The better the paint maches the barrel insert , the better the accurcy and the better the efficiency(sp). And yes Ions have impulse threads. I think the freak has all the inserts and the freak jr has less inserts.

Well, the Freak and Freak Jr. are the exact same barrel, the only real difference is the front half. All inserts will work on a Freak Jr. The inserts are nice incase you are forced to buy a different type of paint that would normally fit your barrel. If you get a Freak though, it is a good idea to invest in the Stainless Steel inserts, as they are smoother and stronger than the Aluminum ones.

^^Didn't paint it??? Well anyway, the stock Ion barrel is .689 (medium bore). So any medium ball will work well. Look here for the size of different balls http://www.ottersccustoms.com/paintc.html.
