You have to make good, informative posts. The star system doesn't work though so no one gets promoted anymore.

You need to be incredibly lucky like I was. Back in the old days, you could be promoted by the mods if you were an asset to the forum. When the star system went awry, it was no longer possible to be promoted. One day in early July 05', the Admin was on. He pushed some button, and 11 or 12 of us members were promoted to either gold or platty. Cedric, Sniper, Dbibeau, myself, and some other people were promoted to Platinum. Hysteria was upped to Gold. Darur, was demoted, for whatever reason. So, not a legit Platty here. Until we switch software, you just have to be incredibly lucky to be promoted. |
