Nor are you old enough to be on the forum.  Anyway, you're in a tough situation. Just get out there and play. It really doesn't matter what gun you've got. It's better to have a Tippy and learn, rather than have an Angel and learn. It will teach you technique, since you can't just run-'n-gun shooting 25 bps. Then after you've played, think about getting a new gun, maybe for Christmas.

Dude, if you don't have any money, you probably shouldn't be shooting fast, as that will waste paint/money. My first gun was a VL Orion, which was good but I really wanted a 98 Custom. If you have about $150, go with the 98 Custom. If you have less than $75, try to get a used Orion, Spyder, or Triad.

Don't spend the money on a fast gun if you don't have the money to feed it. Paint, air tanks, and hoppers that compliment the Promaster or Ion are pretty pricey.

Keep that in mind.

Well, think of it this way... the better gun you have, the better paint you will need to put through it. Better paint (Marballizers, proball, chronic) costs more money. I think you should just stick with your 98C and work on the basics, like form and accuracy.

It really depence on how much money you (or your parents) got. If you're pretty low save up for an Ion if you want to spend a few extra bucks get a promaster or look for a used gun. But make sure you shoot what ever you get first to make sure you like it.

Please for the love of god don't get a flatline.

Just keep the 98 and play with that until you earn the cash to buy something new yourself. Keep in mind that going to an electro will require you to buy a compressed air tank, electronic loader, etc. Those cost money.
