the a-5 is way better for woods ball because the electras r mainly made for speedball.

I don't have any expierence with spyder electras, but I do know that I've used my A-5 in the woods with great success.

I don't generally trust electronic markers, too much frill and too many gizmos that can fail you. A mechanical marker won't have those problems, and if they do, you can get them fixed without paying a butt load of money for new solenoids or boards, or whatever gets burnt out while you're crawling through the mud and the wet of the woods.

I'd vote for the A-5 based on my expierences with it.

.....and yes, I'm old fashioned.

Get the A-5, hands down. Spyders aren't that reliable, especially if you're playing woods.

Get the A5, the reason why I would not get the Electra because if your in the middle of the woods playing PB and your batterys die well I guess you get the pic.

A spyder for woodsball is a waste of money, it will break as soon as it gets touched. I have a friend whose Rodeo broke like 5 times in one day when playing woods.  I can jsut drop my A-5 and then throw it at a tree and then pick it up and start shooting.  Hands down A-5

I have a soyder rodeo and it has never done anything bad to me for woodsball a5 but for every one who says spyder aren't reliable you actually you have to take care of them and clean them not likr tippmanns that you don't have to do all that.
