I got one on mine, mainly to get rid of the external moving parts.  Sometimes I would play with my mask close up to the bolt cock, and I would get hit in the mask.  This eliminates that and also eliminates major debris from getting into the bolt.  This is especially important if you play alot of woodsball, where you might be hunkered in the brush.  It looks pretty good, too....

It also seems to dampen the noise the 98 makes as well.

i got one to keep out debrie and splatter as well as to get rid of the movement of fireing from the bolt return. i think its worth it. but if you have a stock on your 98 it may not fit properly, i know that the  3 postion stock on my 98 has a metal ring that gets in the way of mounting the rocket cock. but the stock on my m98 is a solid m16 style stock and i have no problem fitting it on that one, still trying to think how to mount the cock to my 98c without damaging the cock or stock parts

Really up to you. If you have the money, or find one cheapely enough (used), then go for it. I wouldn't go and pay a whole lot of money for it, when you could put the money to something better, such as a Palmers stab. or HPA tank.

I know. I probably worded it wrong. But I'd still put that $20 towards a new barrel or something that would give you a performance upgrade.

I can accept failure, but I can't accept not trying.

i got one and i love it, it makes cocking back a breeze(not like it was hard in the first place). i have not noticed a change in noise. it does help with being able to put your face up the the gun and not having to worry about the bolt smacking you in the face. i got shot in the cocking slot before i got it, i had to take it apart and clean it. i would definitely pay $20 for a new one if mine ever broke.
